The Role

As members of AlphaSense's Core Security Sub Team, The Product Security Team works closely with developers for identification, detection, manages, and remediation of security issues across AlphaSense Development Team’s. Product Security Team works to create and maintain a safe and secure operating environment for the organization and its customers. As a Security Engineer you will build and maintain the tools we use to detect and respond to emerging threats in efficient and scalable ways, respond to security incidents and drive them to resolution, and develop and deploy preventative security measures for the AlphaSense organization and the core research platform. Successful Security Engineers thrive in high-stress environments and can think like both an attacker and defender, engage with and mentor more junior Security Engineers, and can help come up with proactive and preventative security measures to keep AlphaSense and its user’s data safe in an ever changing threat landscape.

What you’ll be doing

• Integrating several application security evaluation technologies in a CI/CD pipeline with cloud native architecture
• Responsible for SAST, SCA, IAC and Container Images findings from detection to reporting
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams and partners on security standards
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to design, review, and develop solutions that provide customers with trustworthy products
• Contribute to security requirements and technical guidelines for new products features and customer engagements
• You will be evaluating security controls and update severity of vulnerabilities based on controls and work closely with development teams and help them understand application vulnerabilities and the remediation to foster security awareness and understanding

What we are looking for..

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in product security
• Technical knowledge of systems in a multi-tenant, cloud environment
• In terms of performing and assisting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design reviews from a security perspective, you are an expert
• Experience in integrating security into SDLC processes, DevOps CI/CD workflows, tools, and integration points
• Strong scripting experience in python, bash or similar language
• Experience in operating container environments etc
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, CIS Benchmarks
• Experience with AWS or GCP with focus on Threat Modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to build working relationships with key stakeholders
• Bachelors in Computer science or similar field
