About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic VP Partnerships to drive the growth and development of our partnerships ecosystem. As the VP Partnerships, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing the full lifecycle of strategic partnerships, channel/GTM partnerships, and product/technology partnerships, with the goal of building and scaling new revenue streams. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our network, driving revenue growth, and enhancing the value proposition of our market intelligence platform. This position requires a combination of strategy, business development, and relationship management.
What You’ll Do:
This role’s key focus will be to originate strategic partnerships, frame the commercial and operating model, drive the activation and be accountable for the growth of these strategic relationships, and ultimately the revenue they bring in.
- Partnership Strategy and Development:
- Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy to identify the most attractive growth opportunities for AlphaSense in both existing and new markets/geographies/use cases that maximize the potential of our product and technology.
- Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities that align with our business objectives and target markets.
- Evaluate potential partners based on their strategic fit, market relevance, and revenue potential.
- Develop and implement outreach plan to potential partners; engage with them to refine and gain agreement on partnership vision and goals
- Business Development and Revenue Generation:
- Exceed pre-set KPIs and revenue targets from partnerships.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, from prospecting through closure.
- Manage the process of baking AlphaSense product and technology into partners’ service offerings and value propositions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product Development, to drive revenue growth through partnerships.
- Engage AlphaSense’s enterprise sales organization on client opportunities led by partners.
- Relationship Management and Engagement:
- Be an evangelist for AlphaSense partners internally and externally.
- Navigate and develop relationships with key stakeholders and C-Suite executives at partner organizations to drive commitment and engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for key partners, fostering strong relationships and maintaining regular communication.
- Regularly communicate with AlphaSense leadership on partner sales status and how to improve our relationships. Lead governance of relationships between AlphaSense and partner executives.
- Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for joint marketing initiatives, co-branded activities, and thought leadership events.
- Provide guidance and support to partners, ensuring they derive maximum value from our platform and are successful in their own objectives.
- Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to our industry.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential partnership opportunities and stay ahead of market dynamics.
- Leverage market insights to refine and enhance our partnership strategy, positioning us as a leader in the market intelligence space.
- Work with internal M&A teams to identify and engage with any partners that may be strong acquisition candidates
Who You Are:
- You have 15+ years in Business Development, Partnerships Management, and Sales experience in a B2B SaaS.
- You are an enthusiastic self-starter who can hit the ground running.
- You have experience building partnerships functions from the ground up, handling all aspects from strategy through execution.
- You have a good understanding of and the ability to work across all functions and drive change through influence; ideally, you have help P&L responsibility for a high-growth business
- You have the ability to deal with ambiguity and work successfully in a start-up environment
- You have excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong executive presence.
- You are a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
- You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market data to drive informed decision-making.
- You have a track record of building and maintaining successful strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth; you have closed multi-million $ deals with C-Suite customers at Fortune 500 companies
- You have the proven ability to develop and manage a funnel of deals from prospecting through closure.
- You have the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
- You have demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and influence key stakeholders.

Base Compensation Range*: $200,000 - $250,000
Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
