About the Team:

The Revenue Operations team at AlphaSense drives productivity and improves efficiency for our account executives, account managers and sales development reps. We create and implement operational reporting & analytics, improve processes, and enable strategic initiatives that impact the revenue organization. About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Salesforce engineer to provide internal support to the Revenue Organization in the development, implementation and customization of business applications the company currently uses or may implement in the future. In this role, your responsibilities also involve participation in worldwide projects, input in setting business operations policies, architecture of systems and overall technical expertise for the Revenue Organization.

Who you are:

  • At least 10+ years of experience working with a Revenue organization and playing a key role in driving productivity
  • Minimum 10+ years experience as administrator and developer in Salesforce.com
  • 7+ years of experience with technical implementations of Salesforce.com
  • Solid understanding of core technical competencies, including system architecture, cloud infrastructure, database management and optimization etc.
  • 5+ years experience developing in a modern high-level language, such as Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience with complementary technologies including: Frontend JS frameworks, SOAP/REST API consumption, and containerization (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Experience designing, implementing and evolving security models, access controls, and sharing rules for supported applications
  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on succinct and germane briefs to non-technical senior leadership and comprehensive documentation
  • A lateral thinker that can quickly evaluate complex scenarios and identify corner cases or pitfalls
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work closely and effectively with internal business teams
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • A creative problem solver that identifies new and innovative ways to drive sales productivity
  • A seasoned leader who enjoys and thrives in bridging the technical with the business

What You’ll Do:

  • Represent the Revenue organization as a technical leader across all business units
  • Developing, troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing the Salesforce org along with associated technology stack including Jira, Google Cloud, Outreach, Marketo etc.
  • Responsible for interpreting and scoping the business requirements with the Program Managers for new internal projects
  • Work on projects alongside rest of Revenue Operations team
  • Produce thorough documentation and contribute to project planning teams or cross-functional project groups
  • Independently analyze project proposals and provide detailed insight into complexity, tradeoffs and developer capacity
  • Monitor and troubleshoot systems to correct technical issues that impede development or day-to-day operations
  • Determine Revenue Organization needs, participate in vendor selection and/or assist with gathering business requirements
  • Support team in analyzing and resolving critical problems involving any part of the supported systems.
  • Troubleshoot and work with end users to ensure that applications meet their needs and keep pace with changes in program operations, policies and procedures
  • Keep abreast of new applications supported features and functionality, and provide recommendations for improvements and keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements, including third party vendor solutions to help enhance our business processes
  • Evaluate, refine and identify areas of opportunity across our technology stack, processes and workflows to create cohesive solutions
  • Provide real time support on our tech stack and be able to troubleshoot issues regularly
  • Be a “go to person” for revenue org technical needs
  • Coach less experienced team members when needed
  • Values & enjoys interfacing directly with less technical colleagues at senior and junior levels of the organization

Technical Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce administration and development
  • Fluency in the Salesforce platform, especially LWC and SFDX
  • Experience with CPQ methodologies preferred, Salesforce CPQ a plus
  • Competence in relevant software design patterns and principles
  • Strong development habits and an understanding of common best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud development, including GCP or AWS and Docker
  • Working understanding of corporate toolset, including git, Jira, Zendesk. Etc.
  • Experience with Agile development paradigms and CI/CD principles
  • Experience with Salesforce adjacent technologies including ERP systems, Marketing tools and Contract Management Systems.

Base Compensation Range*: $179,500 - $198,500

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
