This role reports directly to the Materials Manager based at the Sacramento plant and works in close coordination with the plant-based procurement team to ensure supplier alignment, pricing consistency, and leveraged purchasing volume across both factory and field operations.
Based in Mountain View, CA, this role serves as the tactical procurement partner for site teams, construction operations, and subcontracted field services.
What You’ll Do:
Execute purchase orders for site-delivered materials and construction-related supplies; coordinate deliveries to support build schedules.
Manage day-to-day field procurement activities, including resolving shortages, delivery delays, and material discrepancies.
Process and administer Subcontractor Work Orders (SWOs) and related Change Orders in NetSuite in alignment with approved scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Track subcontractor commitments through execution, including documentation, insurance compliance, approvals, and payment milestones.
Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems (NetSuite), including pricing, lead times, order status, and change history.
Collaborate with Construction, Site Operations, Finance, Quality, and Design teams to support field execution and issue resolution.
Coordinate closely with the Materials Manager and plant-based procurement team to ensure consistent supplier usage and leverage combined purchasing volume.
Serve as the primary point of contact for tactical field and subcontractor procurement issues, escalating as appropriate.
Generate routine reports and dashboards related to open orders, subcontractor commitments, and procurement status.
Support site visits as needed and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
Experience supporting construction, field operations, or project-based procurement preferred.
Familiarity with Subcontractor Work Orders, Change Orders, or service-based procurement environments.
Experience working within ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
Understanding of basic accounting and cost control principles.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Comfort working across manufacturing and construction workflows.
Detail-oriented, systems-minded, with a bias for action.
What We Offer:
Opportunity to join an innovative, mission-driven company transforming residential construction.
Competitive salary and benefits package (medical, dental, vision).
Equity participation.
Collaborative, high-ownership culture with room for growth.
