About Augment Code

The best software comes from Augmenting developers, not replacing them. We’re bringing joy back to software engineering and keeping developers in flow by building the best Developer AI, with deep contextual awareness of a company’s codebase.

About the Role

We're seeking a dynamic Social Media and Champion Community Lead to become the voice of Augment with developers, our user champions and influencers.

You'll own our social presence and relationships with our community of advocates. You'll build campaigns, build connections with developers, influencers, user champions, while amplifying our brand voice across platforms.

This role requires both a strong technical foundation and a passion for building authentic connections with end users and creators. Ideal candidates have built programs in developer community management and social media before and are looking to do it again. As our community and social channels grow, so will your role and impact. This position offers significant growth potential in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Presence: Grow our reach and engagement on social media. Inspire and educate our followers. Craft our voice across Twitter/X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Discord, and Reddit with content and campaigns that developers actually want to engage with
  • Influencer Relationships: Identify the influencers and online creators that can showcase what our product does to their audience. Manage relationships with them. Equip them with the right information and content. Analyze the program's impact.
  • User Advocacy: Identify and nurture champions within our user community and equip them to amplify our reach and reputation and inform our product roadmap.
  • Platform Selection: Choose and implement the right social media and community tools that align with developers' workflows and preferences
  • Feedback Loop: Create channels that turn community insights into product improvements
  • Ongoing Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of various campaigns and channels, and adjust your approach based on these insights.

The ideal candidate will have a self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and possess:

  • 5+ years of community management and social media experience, specifically for developers
  • A joy for being very online (in a meme sense, not a wall clock sense)
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • A strong ability to separate signal from noise and direct feedback accordingly
  • Strong collaboration skills with marketing, engineering, product, and design
  • Experience selecting and managing social media community platforms
  • A track record of learning and using various AI tools to create better ideas, images, and content fast
  • High levels of taste, humor, kindness, and wit

The Intangibles We Value

  • The drive to build something extraordinary from the ground up
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • The ability to be both the company's voice and the community's advocate
  • A genuine enthusiasm for how AI is transforming software development

Employee Benefits:

  • Flexible work hours
  • Competitive salary & Equity
  • Tools Stipend
  • Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off + Holidays. We focus on trust and ownership, not time in the chair
  • Numerous company social events

We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that your interview takes place in an environment that fairly and accurately assesses your skills. If you need assistance or accommodation, please contact your recruiter.
