Job Description
We are looking for a Foreign Trade and Procurement Specialist to join our division in Mexico. This is a hybrid role that requires a combination of expertise in foreign trade and procurement support.
The role will be dedicated to administrative tasks related to foreign trade and regulatory compliance in Mexico and also will focus on procurement and sourcing activities for the company.
The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of foreign trade regulations in Mexico, including SAT requirements, customs laws, certifications, and international trade agreements, while also possessing strategic skills in supplier management, negotiation, and purchasing of materials or services.
Job Responsibilities
✅ Foreign Trade
- Ensure compliance with SAT regulations and customs laws.
- Manage documentation and procedures for imports and exports.
- Keep foreign trade records and certifications up to date.
- Oversee compliance with applicable trade agreements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to mitigate legal and financial risks.
✅ Procurement
- Support the procurement department in supplier selection, negotiation, and management.
- Analyze costs and develop sourcing strategies to optimize prices and lead times.
- Coordinate purchase orders and ensure efficient delivery of materials.
- Assess supplier performance and maintain strategic business relationships.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain.
Qualifications
Hard Skills (Technical Skills)
📌 Foreign Trade Knowledge:
- Understanding of SAT regulations, customs laws, and import/export procedures in Mexico.
- Trade agreements and their impact on import costs.
- Customs documentation management and tariff classification.
- Foreign trade certifications.
- Audit and regulatory compliance in international operations.
📌 Procurement & Sourcing Knowledge:
- Supplier negotiation strategies.
- Purchase order and contract management.
- Cost analysis and pricing strategies.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement.
- Logistics coordination and supplier delivery control.
📌 Tools and Software:
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement processes.
- Excel and data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of international trade platforms.
