The Role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking a self-motivated individual for a Senior Research Associate or Associate Scientist role* in the Protein Sciences team to develop label-free assays for characterizing antigen-antibody interactions. Your position will interface regularly with the Discovery Medicine, Production, and Automation teams to support all aspects of biophysical characterization of antigen-antibody binding in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and perform kinetic experiments to study antigen-antibody interactions using label-free techniques
- Troubleshooting of kinetic experiments on both BLI and SPR platforms
- Perform epitope binning and quantitation experiments
- Develop and onboard kinetic assays for screening antibodies in a high-throughput manner
- Write and transfer standard operating protocols (SOPs) for use on the Milliner Platform
- Keep a detailed record of all experiments using BigHat’s documentation tools, and clearly communicate results and challenges
- Present experimental plans and results during regular meetings with manager and science teams
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- B.S. with 5+ or M.S. with 3+ years of work experience in industry
- Experience using label-free biophysical techniques to study antigen-antibody interactions
- Extensive experience in developing, executing, troubleshooting SPR and BLI experiments for kinetics, quantitation, and epitope binning
- Good record keeping skills using LIMS and electronic notebooks
- Excited to work with diverse, cross functional teams to onboard new assays and disseminate results
- Prior experience with automation is preferred
Compensation
For SRA: $[100 - 120]K
For Associate Scientist: $[120 - 140]K
