Position Overview

We're seeking an Operations/Process Owner to serve as the "conductor" of our design processing operations. This role is critical to our scaling strategy as we grow from processing 10x output. You'll own the end-to-end operational workflow while enabling our development team to focus on building and improving our technical tools and automation systems.

Core Responsibility

Orchestrate the complete design ingestion, processing, and delivery pipeline—managing operational complexity so our technical team can focus on high-value development work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement standard operating procedures for design processing
  • Execute hands-on data entry, component analysis, and design processing tasks
  • Shepherd individual designs through the pipeline, tracking progress and identifying bottlenecks
  • Conduct quality reviews and validation of team work
  • Analyze processing times and identify operational inefficiencies
  • Guide development team on tooling improvements based on hands-on user experience
  • Coordinate resource allocation and task prioritization
  • Manage stakeholder communication regarding status and delivery timelines
  • Create operational metrics and dashboards

What Success Looks Like

  • Throughput: Significant reduction in design processing time-to-completion
  • Quality: Increased capacity without sacrificing quality standards
  • Predictability: Improved milestone delivery timeline accuracy
  • Team Focus: Reduced operational burden on development team
  • Product Improvement: Guide development team on tooling enhancements based on hands-on user experience
  • Scalability: Demonstrated ability to handle growing customer demand

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related technical field
  • Process Experience: 3+ years in operations or process improvement within technical environments
  • Scaling Experience: Proven track record scaling operational processes in growing companies

Essential Skills & Characteristics

Technical Competency

  • Strong electronics knowledge enabling effective engineer communication
  • Systems thinking ability to see big-picture workflow integration
  • Process-oriented mindset with workflow optimization expertise

Operational Excellence

  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to create order from complexity
  • Detail-oriented with proactive issue identification capabilities
  • Multi-tasking proficiency managing concurrent designs and priorities
  • Problem-solving focus on identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies

Communication & Leadership

  • Bridge-building skills interfacing between technical and business teams
  • Project coordination experience managing complex, multi-step processes
  • Clear stakeholder communication regarding status, issues, and deliverables

Role Differentiation

This is not a traditional Project Manager role focused on software development timelines, nor a purely administrative Operations Manager position. This role requires deep technical domain understanding, significant hands-on processing work initially, and close coordination with development priorities to optimize our operational business process.

Growth Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale operational infrastructure from the ground up, with direct impact on company growth and the potential to lead a team as we scale to higher volumes and eventually transition to full SaaS delivery.
