About the Role
As Citrine continues to grow, we are hiring a Solutions Engineer (SE) to support our expanding sales organization and lead the execution of customer-facing technical engagements, working cross-functionally to deliver meaningful results.
Citrine is expanding, and we’re seeking a customer-focused Solutions Engineer (SE) to support our growing sales organization, educate new users on Materials Informatics and the Citrine Platform, onboard new projects, and lead technically rigorous customer engagements. Solutions Engineers bridge the gap between initial interest and meaningful outcomes, guiding customers from early technical discussions through the successful application of AI/ML-driven product development workflows. This role requires balancing a customer-centric attitude with solid technical knowledge and industry experience as well as a willingness to deepen this knowledge and experience. You will be collaborating with the Sales team to support deal progression, deliver tailored demonstrations, assess technical project fit, and contribute to business value alignment with prospective customers. You will collaborate with and share feedback with Customer Success, Technical Services, and Product teams to inform product and process improvements.
You will have to grow in confidence participating in conversations with leaders about driving business value, with product developers about the challenges of their systems and how to use our technology, and with expert data scientists about AI/ML-driven workflows. You should be excited about meeting new people, learning new industries, and supporting teams in adopting improved workflows facilitated by the Citrine Platform. You should be comfortable engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders during the pre-sales process, and you should be motivated to solve complex AI problems by working with a technical team from the industry. You will gain confidence navigating every stage of the customer journey from lead generation to project execution through early expansion of platform usage.

- Contribute to improving team best practices, templates, coding assets, and project documentation
- Partner with Customer Success and Technical Services teams to ensure smooth project delivery and share suggestions for workflow improvements
- Execute materials informatics projects with customers over short and long timelines by implementing Citrine’s technology, collaboratively troubleshooting technical hurdles while keeping an eye on what is most valuable to the customer
- Represent Citrine and attend designated webinar events, trade shows, conferences, and technical symposiums to support our growing business
