Your Impact:
As a Chemical Process Engineer at Formlabs Ohio, you will be the driving force behind our production efficiency and technical evolution. By leading the scale-up of new resins and optimizing equipment design, you will directly enable our ability to deliver high-quality materials at scale. Your work in troubleshooting, process redesign, and continuous improvement will not only reduce costs but also foster a culture of safety and innovation that is critical to our manufacturing success.
What You’ll Do:
- Process monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Recommend improvements or redesigns for equipment and processes to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals.
- Effectively interact with R & D, production, and maintenance teams.
- Prepare premises alongside maintenance team for process improvement and equipment installation.
- Establish alternatives and costs for both new installations and modifications to equipment.
- Help build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Help with design, planning, and implementation of any added equipment to optimize production and decrease cost.
- Process improvement (uptime, capacity release, cost performance, yield)
- SOP and other documentation review, revision, and creation.
- Lead scale up for mixing of new resins.
- Help investigate equipment needed for new resins.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
About You:
- 2-3 years of experience in a medium scale chemical facility.
- Have a BS in chemical engineering.
- Ability to work as an individual and with the maintenance team when needed.
- Safety conscious and ready to promote safe behaviors.
Bonus Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft products and 2D/3D CAD programs.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe practices related to chemical manufacturing.
- Experience with polymers, oligomers, and polymerization.
- Some exposure/experience with automation, packaging lines, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plant engineering duties

Full time employees receive equity, in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact.
At Formlabs, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization.
