The company focuses on short-haul, B2B logistics for Fortune 500 customers including Kroger, Walmart, Tyson Foods, Loblaw, Pitney Bowes, Georgia-Pacific, and KBX; enabling them to optimize their hub-and-spoke supply chain operations, enhance service levels and product flow across multiple locations while reducing labor costs and meeting an unprecedented expectation for faster deliveries. Gatik’s Class 3-7 autonomous box trucks are commercially deployed in multiple markets including Texas, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.
About the role:
Commercial is a highly collaborative, strategic and instrumental function within Gatik. The team is responsible for business development, sales, growing customer/OEM/vendor partnerships, and driving C-suite strategic initiatives. The team is embedded across functions within Gatik and has the opportunity to collaboratively shape business impact across sales, procurement, fleet operations, commercial operations, legal and product. We are looking for an individual to become an integral part of this team. The Commercial Senior Analyst will be responsible for leveraging their strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking and creativity to formulate short and long term growth of the company, working across functions, and enabling the Commercial team in meeting its broad mandate. In this role, your learning, growth and responsibility will be directly influenced by you. We are a small yet highly effective team where ownership, collaboration and communication skills are highly desired.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA Office!
What you'll do:
- Structure complex problems, analyze large amounts of data, and deliver insights and recommendations to the Gatik leadership team
- Conduct research and analysis of industry, company, customer, and channel data to support market assessment and identification of key trends / opportunities
- Communicate analysis and recommendations to stakeholders including external senior executives by preparing presentations and identifying actionable insights
- Perform quantitative analyses, including the development of complex financial models, to evaluate and implement strategic options
- Interface and collaborate with other groups within Gatik and external stakeholders to collect and compile information in support of business development
- Support the Commercial Team in planning and execution of key initiatives
- Other duties as may be required
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role (consulting, investment banking, strategic planning, business intelligence).
- Proven track record of structuring and solving complex business problems.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power PI, Tableau)
- Familiarity directly managing customer relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Prior exposure to the transportation, logistics, or technology industry (preferred)
