Software Engineer - Keynote Demos AMTS (Junior)

The Demo Team is looking for a Software Engineer who will inspire the team to push the boundaries of enterprise software and create the never before seen. You are passionate about technology and developing digital and physical experiences.
In your role as an innovator Senior Software Engineer, your day-to-day will consist of creating visually engaging and innovative demos, mentoring junior developers, and leading small teams in development and processes. You will complement the digital experience with tactile elements. This position requires someone who has great technical understanding as well as interpersonal skills to work with many different departments within the company. You’ll spend time with product teams designing and prototyping future features and product launches of Salesforce products. You're naturally curious and experiment with technologies like AI, robotics, image processing, beacons, AR, blockchain and more. Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with product marketers, demo architects, and designers to understand the product strategy and distill key functionality and benefits into engaging demo experiences
- Develop innovative and compelling/palpable stories and demonstrations that showcase the power of Salesforce
- Ideate and build prototypes for important Salesforce product launches
- Own the architecture of software prototypes and physical experiences for all major Salesforce keynotes
- Wake up everyday thinking about how we tell more engaging stories that include tactile experiences in our event keynotes & campground and the Salesforce Innovation Center
- Keep current with technology trends. Understand how emerging technology can be incorporated into our keynotes
- Management of vendors as needed
Event Delivery & Live Demo Support
- Own demo technical readiness for keynote events including rehearsals, code freezes, and live show support
- Manage demo stability across multiple devices and presentation formats (stage screens, iPads, mobile devices)
- Coordinate deployment timing and environment locks to ensure zero critical failures on stage
- Create Demo Setup Guides (DSGs), clickpath documentation, and driving guides for speaker preparation
- Optimize display settings and UI treatments for large-venue legibility (opacity transitions, screen bezels, resolution standards)
- Support speakers during rehearsals and provide technical coaching on demo execution
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years industry experience
- Expertise in front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript), Salesforce Expertise is consider a good add (Must)
- Experience with modern Javascript technologies such as: Angular, React, Vue, Node etc.
- Experience with Java, Python or similar lenguages
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, Heroku, and AWS
- Driven, self-motivated, and flexible team player with proven ability to lead/inspire through influence
- Creative thinker that can generate innovative ideas and lead a cross-functional team to drive execution
- A proven track record in the design, development and delivery of creative and engineering concepts
- Experience implementing from concept to production through field installation for small to medium projects
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner equally with Product Marketing Managers and Designers within your working group — you share ownership of demo success
- Build deep relationships with Salesforce product engineering teams to stay ahead of feature availability, GA timelines, and known limitations
- Coordinate with production teams (show callers, video directors, AV specialists) on technical integration and timing
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders about build status, risks, and tradeoffs — especially when live stage demos require explicit escalation to product teams
- Collaborate with localization teams for multi-language and multi-market demo delivery
Technical Strategy & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging Salesforce features and recommend which to showcase in upcoming demos
- Make architectural decisions about build approaches: real product vs. mocked, single-org vs. multi-org, live vs. static
- Contribute to the team's proof pattern library covering core enterprise scenarios
- Contribute to the teams enablement and distribution documentation for SE and global events
- Drive continuous improvement in demo stability, build efficiency, and technical quality
- Partner with development team members on complex builds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with live product demonstrations for large audiences (conferences, keynotes, executive briefings, or webinars)
- Experience with Slack platform development (Slack apps, Slackbot skills, workspace administration, federation)
- Knowledge of Tableau integration and data visualization
- Ability to turn high fidelity designs into functional prototypes using HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript
- Experience developing on the Salesforce platform (Aura, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Administration etc.) - MUST
- Experience with Salesforce unit testing and package management - MUST
- Experience developing user interfaces in non-traditional formats such large format screens, car dashboards, AR/VR etc.
- Strong object orient programming background
- Familiarity with backend development concepts such as creating servers, REST APIs, and microservices
- Familiarity with iOS, xCode, and Swift development
- Experience designing, specifying, integrating, and testing cutting edge hardware with software APIs
- Collaborate and communicate on multiple, complex projects concurrently, with a team of designers, developers and marketers from concept to completion
