ROLE OVERVIEW
Job Title: Go-to-Market Analyst
Location: San Mateo, CA
Duration: Summer 2024 (10-12 weeks)
Commitment: Full Time (2 days / week in office
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Go-to-Market (GTM) Summer Analyst at Parspec, your primary mission will be to identify and explore new markets and market opportunities that will shape the strategic direction of our future product releases. Collaborating closely with the Head of Operations and Product leadership, you will be tasked with putting together a comprehensive proposal that clearly outlines recommended strategies for the business. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the company’s strategic roadmap, providing hands-on experience in market research, competitive and pricing analysis, and product strategy within a dynamic startup environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and validate horizontal and or vertical market expansion opportunities
  • Analyze competitive market landscapes and synthesize findings to support business decisions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and product teams to understand product capabilities and align project objectives
  • Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an MBA or similar graduate degree
  • Previous experience in the construction supply chain, especially in lighting and electrical sectors
  • Background in consulting, investment banking, or roles within early-stage startups
  • Previous experience in market research or analysis where you've developed a deep understanding of the market dynamics and recommended actions based on your analysis
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to varying business needs
  • Self-motivated with a keen interest in technology startups
