About the role

Plenty is looking for a part-time Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced Plant Science team. This role is no less than 20 hours and no more than 30 hours per week. You will assist with warehouse operations, inventory, and supply needs of the facility to ensure all materials are organized for easy access. You will fulfill material requests for consumable tracking and rearrange the warehouse to support our team build the latest farm technology and advance cutting edge indoor farming research.

What you'll do

  • Fulfill orders, check orders, make orders, and receive packages
  • Perform quarterly inventory count
  • Receive items for the Accounts Payable to process
  • Properly dispose of trash and hazardous waste drums (triple rinse, remove labels, destroy containers)
  • Efficiently organize and manage warehouse inventory using forklift equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations; regularly inspect warehouse area and equipment for potential safety risks
  • Report or proactively address issues that arise related to the warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned. Schedules will be reviewed periodically and are subject to change based on business needs

What you'll bring to the table

  • 1+ year of warehouse, fulfillment, or related experience
  • Responsible and fast learner that has the ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy; able to work with new computer systems and technology
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize several tasks daily and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and transport boxed items weight up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification

Food Safety Requirements

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
  • Comply with GMP/GAPS in the Facility
  • Conduct monitoring activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system
