Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides an anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.
This role is located in Mountain View, CA where we are onsite 3 days a week in office.
Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo
Skylo is hiring a Senior Manager of Legal Operations to build and scale its global legal operations function. This role will be instrumental in implementing systems, creating scalable processes, supporting compliance and governance initiatives, and partnering cross-functionally to reduce risk as the company grows.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Skylo’s legal operations program across all jurisdictions.
- Serve as project lead for onboarding and operationalizing the contract management system, including requirements gathering, implementation support, and training.
- Develop, deliver, and document regular legal operations, legal, and corporate governance training for relevant staff.
- Review, update, and enforce internal policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Procurement and other business units to design and enforce robust vendor due diligence and onboarding processes.
- Maintain a regular cadence for policy and procedure reviews, ensuring timely updates and consistent adoption.
- Establish an audit and monitoring framework with defined controls to identify variances and lead mitigation or corrective actions post-audit.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support incident response and audit readiness activities.
- Prepare legal operations reports and metrics for executive leadership and the Board as needed.
- Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and integrity across the organization.
What We Look For
- 7+ years’ experience in legal operations, legal, or risk management, ideally in the technology, telecom, or regulated industry sector.
- Proven experience designing and scaling legal operations programs in a multi-jurisdictional high growth environment.
- Experience leading system implementation projects (e.g., contract management, GRC, or similar platforms).
- Strong project management and change management skills.
- Ability to translate regulatory/legal requirements into practical business processes.
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering training programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CCEP, or other relevant certifications preferred.

Additional information
The compensation range for this position is: $230,000 - $244,375. This range reflects the low and high end of the range Skylo reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role.
