Job Summary
Be a charter member of the Systems Engineering team, supporting a product destined to revolutionize personal transit. As this visionary company expands, the need for scalable processes and rigor are essential to success. The successful candidate will lead data-driven architectural decision-making and implement scalable processes across requirements management, risk management, testing, interface management, and configuration control.
The applicant will work across a number of talented teams, ensuring the final product is both designed and built as intended. Experience with fast-paced, agile, start-up product development is a plus. Apply out-of-the-box thinking to help this product realize its full potential!
Responsibilities include:
- Guiding system design and development across all stages of product life cycle.
- Executing well-defined trade studies to inform critical engineering architecture and Product Definition decisions.
- Defining, scaling, and implementing model-based systems engineering processes, including:
- System architecture definition and requirements decomposition
- Requirements and interface management
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Verification and Validation
- Developing architectural diagrams and products, such as Concept of Operations
- Partnering with the Product team to ensure functional and statutory requirements are understood and applied appropriately to the system.
- Implementing Digital Twin methodologies to transform how skyTran will deploy commercial infrastructure projects
Desired Qualifications
- 15+ years of work experience in increasing levels of responsibility in systems engineering / systems integration roles.
- An agile thinker with the ability to add structure and develop scalable, enterprise class solutions.
- Simultaneously action-oriented and a strategic planner.
- Experience working in a human-rated / safety-critical industry. Has System Safety analysis experience, including Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA).
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content to general audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage via influence and development of cross business relationships to drive solution of complex business problems.
- Direct experience with Tableau, JIRA, SharePoint, PowerBI, DOORS and other internal tools.
- Familiarity with UML/SysML, Python.
- Knowledge of Dassault 3DExperience a strong plus.
- Experience in high growth / startup environments a strong plus.
