The role:

SoFi is in search of a Decision Strategy Assurance Manager, focusing on the quality assurance aspect of our decision engine strategies. Your role will be critical in ensuring the highest quality and integrity of our decision-making systems. You will lead the quality assurance processes, implementing robust testing strategies and maintaining system quality throughout the development lifecycle. What you’ll do:

As the Decision Strategy Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Quality Assurance Leadership:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive quality assurance strategies for decision-making systems.
  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of decision systems through rigorous testing methodologies.
  • Lead a team of quality assurance professionals, setting high standards for system testing and validation.

System Testing and Validation:

  • Implement robust testing frameworks to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of decision systems.
  • Collaborate with the Decision Implementation team to integrate quality assurance processes into the development cycle.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies to enhance system quality and performance.

Production Support and Improvement:

  • Lead team members to respond to production issues to troubleshoot and remediate effectively.
  • Improve technical operations processes and monitoring to address bugs quickly.

Team Management and Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance experts, fostering a culture of precision and continuous learning.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure quality is embedded in all stages of the decision system lifecycle.

What you’ll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development and/or quality assurance with experience in leadership role
  • 3+ years experience in cloud architecture
  • Experience with best of breed infrastructure solutions, including experience with Amazon AWS cloud services
  • Experience with SQL, Python, S3 Buckets, software architecture and design
  • Java/Kotlin experience nice to have
  • Experience with cloud/AWS
  • Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance
  • Experience managing a production/response team
  • Leadership experience with end-to-end information security practices, compliance requirements, data privacy, sovereignty and confidentiality practices, security testing and auditing, and rapid response procedures.
  • Knowledge of technical, operational and cultural structures required to scale teams in a high-growth environment
  • Previous experience with Provenir or other Decision Engine required
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
