In this role, you will lead engineering for the platforms and user experience that underpin our SoFi Membership programs, including SoFi+, the SoFi reward points program, our rewards partner ecosystem, and paid subscriptions offerings. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across the entire company as your team drives healthy financial behavior and customer engagement by developing points earning and redemption opportunities. You will drive unparalleled member engagement and loyalty by developing new paid and earned benefits for our most valuable members.

As the engineering manager for the area, you will own full-stack technical planning, roadmap, and delivery for your teams, including team building and performance management. You will partner with product, design, and business leads in crafting the product and technical strategy to drive member engagement and loyalty. This area is new for SoFi, so there is opportunity to have a meaningful impact in shaping the Benefits and Rewards strategy and architecture.

  • Generate ideas for new initiatives
  • Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, deliverables, and goals.

Requirements

  • A BS Degree or equivalent from a fully accredited college or university is preferred.
    • As a bonus, in a technical field
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, mission-critical systems
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams
  • Experience hiring, training, motivating, monitoring, and coaching team members
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff done
  • Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion
  • Ability to hold others accountable
  • Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies
  • A desire to learn
