The Role
The Investment Products Risk and Fraud Team is responsible for supporting prudent growth in our Brokerage, Robo and ETF platforms while ensuring adherence to the company’s risk appetite. This role sits within the Fraud Management organization with primary responsibility for building controls around various fraud vectors including application fraud, money movement fraud and account takeover risks. In addition, this role has oversight of risks associated with these products including margin risk, funding float strategies, trading risks and operational risks.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement robust fraud strategies to control application fraud, money movement fraud and account takeovers
- Oversight of Cash Movement, Margin and Options Policies and ongoing implementation
- Develop analytical metrics and instrumentation that proactively identify, quantify, and provide timely risk assessment
- Lead investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Establish and maintain a strong fraud risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to fraud prevention.
- Analyze fraud trends and patterns to identify emerging risks and inform proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in fraud risk management, financial crime investigations, or a related field. Experience in financial services and Investment Products preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Python, or R.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
- Investment Industry Experience: Knowledge of investment products and associated
