At Trunk Tools, we are tackling the massive $13 trillion+ construction industry. We’re an exceptional team of serial entrepreneurs, brought together by our shared mission: automating construction. Our founding team (SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, Carta, etc.) has successfully built and deployed software in construction for 140k+ users, millions of users beyond the construction space, and worked on +$2 billion of built-environment projects. We aren’t another out-of-touch tech startup, most of our team comes from construction.

We spent the last few years building the brain behind construction. Now we are deploying workflows/ agents, starting with Q&A document chatbot, to be ingrained in construction teams’ workflows, ultimately to automate construction. Given our immense traction with several Fortune 500 construction companies, we are doubling our team in order to deploy several more agents this year. You will have an opportunity to drive the transformation of a multi-trillion-dollar industry full of waste, risks and inefficiencies.

What you will do and achieve:

• Build and iterate on existing features based on customer feedback in collaboration with our PM and implementation manager

• Build new and expand existing system integrations with our products

• Iterate on our backend to ensure it is scalable enough to support thousands of users

• Ensure our application is reliable and bug-free

• Build functionality to remove friction from onboarding process for thousand+ new users

• Play an active part in the conversations around product strategy and be willing to bring in novel ideas

• Perform routine site audits, as well as ongoing maintenance, on an as-needed basis.

• Act as a liaison between integrations team, implementation team, client stakeholders (IT) to assist in technical explanations and exploration.

Who you are:

• Proficiency in TypeScript

• Expertise in Backend development (Node + Express)

• Expertise in Frontend development (React)

• Experience in data schema modeling

• Comfortable with relational and non-relational databases

• Previous experience shipping products to users

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

• Solution-oriented and high-level programming skills

Salary range: $100,000 - $170,000 / year + equity
