About The RoleWe are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to support strategic initiatives, marketing & business planning and operations across our Global Marketing organization. While this role will report to the Head of Strategy & Operations, Global Marketing, it will work in close partnership with senior team members, at times serving as project leader and strategic advisor to our marketing leadership team. It is a role that requires a combination of deep strategic expertise, curiosity, and grit with excellent judgment and discretion.The ideal candidate is highly self-directed and has strong experience in marketing and business strategy, strategic and operational planning, benchmarking against objectives, as well as driving executive-level communications and stakeholder management. They will also be comfortable managing processes and working cross-functionally with key partners across Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Finance, and more to solve Uber’s toughest challenges, advocate for high-priority initiatives, and drive greater operational excellence within the Global Marketing team. Responsibilities
  • Analyze key business questions across Mobility, Delivery, and Platform with frameworks, customer insights, and data to craft concrete recommendations and unlock growth opportunities
  • Synthesize large sets of data and insights to develop global perspectives on key business priorities and inform marketing strategy
  • Connect global & local efforts by aligning global visions with local marketing campaigns and identifying findings from regional teams to advise global strategies
  • Build and support global processes around cyclical business planning, roadmaps, and OKR setting and prioritization
  • Proactively identify and lead strategic initiatives to optimize day-to-day marketing operations and improve the impact of Uber marketing
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives working closely with regional & central marketing, performance marketing, finance, product, and operations teams
  • Gain leadership alignment on recommendations and influence decisions to drive implementation
  • Be a thought partner to marketing leadership to support the growth of Uber
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or management consulting supporting a marketing organization
  • Advanced SQL/Google Sheets proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree

  • MBA degree
  • Never hesitates to dive right in and address something hands-on, persevering and finding solutions
  • Biased toward action and a master disambiguate/simplifier, always pushing towards clarity and delivery
  • Demonstrates optimism, respects others and fosters teamwork
  • Can collaborate with leaders and team members at all levels in a global, matrixed organization
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences
  • Highly-proactive, organized, self-starter capable of effectively managing several projects at the same time
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, synthesize complex ideas, and extract the relevant information
