About The RoleUber Advertising’s vision is to offer the most marketplace-centric advertising to connect Uber's platform users (eaters, riders, and earners) with advertisers. The Uber Ads team is a highly entrepreneurial fast paced team that has delivered outstanding outcomes.The Strategy & Planning Manager for Uber Advertising will partner with business leaders to provide strategic, operational and analytical guidance corresponding to Uber Advertising's objectives. This position will report to the Head of Strategy & Planning and working closely with leaders across the organization to craft the strategy for Uber Advertising. What You'll Do
  • Strategic Planning: Lead half-yearly and annual planning (strategic, financial, people), which includes crafting a compelling country strategic narrative, identifying headline goals, and partnering with cross functional teams to determine corresponding OKRs in an integrated and cohesive manner
  • Business Reporting & Tracking: Lead monthly and quarterly business reporting updates (MBRs/QBRs), and goal / OKR tracking
  • Governance & Performance Management: Maintain a lean, effective operating cadence for accountability and decision making, allowing the team to remain nimble and dynamic while setting up the business to outperform plans
  • Industry & Competition: Partner with the Regional Strategy and Planning team to provide competitive insights and innovate on competitive strategy
Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of demonstrated ability in consulting, corporate strategy, or other strategic roles
  • Knowledge of the advertising and/or marketing landscape
  • End to end project management experience
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional and data driven projects with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience crafting executive ready materials
  • Sophisticated skills in Excel / Google Sheets and Powerpoint / Google Slides
  • Masters degree or MBA is a plus, but not required, preference for degrees in Economics, Statistics, Business, Finance, and other quantitative field
