About The RoleThe Merchant Operations team looks at how to onboard, engage and retain merchants for Uber Eats. No matter if it is a Restaurant, a Grocer, Convenience Store, or Flower Shop, we build the engine to make Uber Eats the preferred platform for these merchants!With this role within the Merchant Operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing country-wide strategies, and managing business-critical processes with a focus on Merchant Experience. This role will require you to drive product launches, structure experiments and manage a constantly evolving product suite. You will also surface insights from our commercial teams, and produce recommendations to improve existing or develop new processes and products. What You'll Do
  • You'll own and iterate on existing, or design and implement new, core operations processes that improve merchants' experience
  • You'll proactively surface opportunities to drive operational excellence and implement and complete processes and product features to capitalize on these opportunities
  • You’ll examine issues and opportunities in great detail, use data and insights to recommend sound business decisions and design mitigation plans in the event that the business is adversely impacted
  • You’ll work with a diverse group of partners and champion our local needs with them
  • You’ll build detailed and transparent execution plans and ensure projects continue moving to their completion despite ambiguous conditions and tight deadlines
What you'll need
  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within a similar position (e.g Operations, Consulting) in a fast-moving environment.
  • Self-Starter, you explore and investigate proactively new ways of achieving our ambitious goals
  • Executional excellence, you have strong attention to detail, plan and track your progress
  • Strong analytical skills + proficient in using Excel
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Fluency in English is a must
This is a plus
  • You are confident in managing a diverse group of Collaborators
  • Past experience in a hospitality/retail SAAS business
  • Experience in using Python to build automation and small applications
  • Fluent in German
