Our platform and technology make it easy to turn any car into a shared car, empowering people to save money, reduce waste and fight climate change. Since 2012, we’ve grown our community to more than 9,000 cars being shared and made over 1 million bookings. Our acquisition by Uber in early 2022 and rebrand from ‘Car Next Door’ to ‘Uber Carshare’ last November has created an amazing opportunity for us to combine our car-sharing community with Uber’s mobility platform, providing a complete alternative to car ownership. About The TeamThe purpose of the Member Growth team within Uber Carshare is to grow and optimise the Carshare marketplace. Carshare is a nascent category. We don’t have all the answers yet. But you will play a critical role to get them. You need to test, scale, systematize and then build playbooks on the tactics that effectively work. You therefore need to balance deep strategic thinking and data driven mindset with a highly practical and fast pace execution bias. The Team Has 3 Key Pillars
  • Driving Borrower and Owner growth via direct engagement channels (email, Uber App, Carshare App). The team can leverage a multi million user database to drive awareness, education and adoption of carshare. The team manages multi million dollar incentives budget, run tests and experimentations and scales what works
  • Building a deeper understanding of the marketplace dynamics. Your team builds the marketplace toolkit (geo level insights, ROI tools etc…)
  • Drive demand and supply growth through digital performance channels. You will lead dedicated resources to optimise our SEO and organic leads, as well as manage the digital SEM strategy and associated budget
The impact you'll have You WillReporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will sit on the Leadership Team of Uber Carshare, and lead a high-performing team to tackle the business’ most important challenges.
  • Lead and coach the Member Growth team (currently consisting of 5 full-time employees and several contractors).
  • Guide the team through leveraging Uber and the existing Carshare member base to grow both demand and supply.
  • Own the incentives and SEM budgets, including tracking historical spend as well as forecasting future spend requirements.
  • Lead high-impact strategic reviews, deep dives and strategic projects.
The Experience You'll Bring
  • Experience, with a proven track record of driving growth, acquisition and performance marketing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading and coaching a high-performing team
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex problems, as well as to go deep as needed
  • Bias to action - ability to rapidly shift from hypothesis/strategy to experimentation/execution.
  • In-depth experience in CRM/SEM/Growth roles will be highly regarded
