About The RoleWe have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic lawyer to join our ANZ legal team. Our ANZ business is extremely diverse and is a key strategic region for Uber. The ANZ Legal team manages all regulatory, litigation and commercial work for our Mobility and Delivery businesses in both Australia and New Zealand. This role will be specifically focused on matters arising from our Delivery business.
Your Impact In Role
- You will be an active and trusted business partner, and ensure the provision of timely commercial legal advice on a variety of initiatives and issues for both our businesses in ANZ.
- You will manage a wide variety of legal work for the ANZ markets, including the launch of new business and product lines, enterprise contracts, commercial advisory work, company secretarial work and regulatory matters.
- It's our job to peer around corners for the business and ensure that we are well-positioned for the future. You’ll need to understand, interpret and apply current laws and regulations that apply to Uber’s business models and also Uber continues to remain ahead of the curve on the development of new laws relevant to its industry.
- Significant and relevant post-qualification experience at a top law firm or in-house (7+ years, with some material in-house experience)
- Ideally have general commercial legal, contract law or M&A background
- Ability to translate complex legal issues and ambiguity into clear and simple advice, to communicate effectively with non-legal internal colleagues, and to interface with a broad range of senior business managers, executives and other colleagues and professionals across our company.
