About the role and team

Senior Greenlight Hubs are the heart of Uber’s physical presence, where digital complexity meets real-world human interaction. As a Senior Greenlight Specialist, you will lead the frontline team responsible for building trust with driver-partners, navigating the messy reality of in-person support, and ensuring our operations scale in a fast-changing market.

This role is for someone who thrives in high-stakes, ambiguous environments where the answers aren't always predefined. You’ll balance the technical side of data-driven operations with the emotional intelligence required to mentor a team and handle high-pressure customer situations. If you are a resilient problem-solver who enjoys owning outcomes and moving with urgency, this is where you’ll grow.

What you’ll do

Support riders, drivers, couriers, and merchants during critical moments—helping turn uncertainty into clarity through empathy, speed, and sound judgment.

Lead and mentor a team of specialists to deliver world-class in-person support while navigating shifting local priorities and operational blockers.

Collaborate with City Operations teams to align Greenlight Hub activities with market needs, including supply growth, onboarding, and driver engagement.

Make fast, thoughtful decisions in real time—especially when the path forward isn’t obvious or predefined.

Identify patterns in driver feedback and escalate issues that impact the experience at scale to improve how we support our community over time.

Manage Greenlight Hub operations with discipline, ensuring all safety screens, virtual onboarding, and resurrection activities are executed with high accuracy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer support, retail management, or operations.
  • Intermediate English and regional language proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Experience using Excel for data interpretation, including building charts and pivot tables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to improve complex operational processes.
  • Proven resilience and adaptability when handling emotionally charged or ambiguous situations.
  • Master’s degree or currently pursuing a graduate qualification.

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.

Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.
