At Uber, we strive to deliver safe and compliant transportation to all. Uber’s Philippines business must simultaneously adhere to the requirements of multiple national and local regulatory authorities to continue operating. These include agencies such as the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and local government units (LGUs), among others. To do this, our Regulatory Operations team manages a suite of reporting processes, as well as providing on-demand regulatory support to regulators in the Philippines.
The right candidate for this role is interested in working with data, proactively seeks out opportunities to discover unique and exciting ways to solve problems, drive process excellence, and deliver premium support to our regulatory and licensing partners.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Execute a number of regulatory-related tasks in line with our licensing and regulatory conditions across the Philippines.
- Liaise effectively with regulators and other government partners on all issues related to regulatory reporting.
- Ensure that confirmed reportable events are escalated to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Strive to meet or exceed our Regulatory KPIs.
- Escalate any requests that need further clarification or attention.
- Work with key stakeholders to flesh out any complex or niche cases that you are investigating.
- Identify and resolve any blockers that may present themselves to you in a professional and timely manner.
- Be an advocate for our Regulatory vision and mission within Uber Philippines.
- Identify and share trends, insights, defects, and areas of improvement with stakeholders.
- Perform audits or investigations and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders using established guidelines.

Requirements
- Excellent English, both spoken and written.
- High proficiency using computers (typing, quickly navigating between various tools).
- Exceptional reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and find speedy resolutions.
- Skilled at handling multiple issues at once to efficiently solve a large number of inquiries.
- Willingness to work on a shifting schedule totaling 40 hours per week.
- Weekend shifts are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Support experience in a high-volume environment, including service industries, BPO, retail, hospitality, or other support environments.
