Operations & Logistics Manager
Operations
State of Mexico, Mexico
About the Role
At Uber, we solve complex problems in a fast-moving environment where our work has a direct, real-world impact. We value ownership, adaptability, thoughtful execution, and people who are motivated by turning challenges into meaningful results.
As a Strategy & Operations Manager on the Retail Merchant Operations team, you’ll play a key role in improving the end-to-end merchant and customer order experience in Mexico. You’ll help drive merchant operational excellence, enable sustainable growth, and develop solutions that can scale across our Retail business.
You’ll work at the intersection of merchant experience, growth, and operational excellence, identifying high-impact opportunities across the merchant journey and translating them into practical solutions. Your work may range from improving merchant onboarding and store reliability to reducing operational defects, supporting expansion, and partnering with Commercial teams to unlock growth opportunities.
This is a highly cross-functional role. You’ll partner closely with Commercial teams to understand merchant needs and business opportunities, while collaborating with Product, Global Merchant Operations, Catalog, and regional and global teams to translate those needs into effective solutions for the Mexican market.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, using data to drive decisions, and moving seamlessly between strategy and hands-on execution.
What You'll Do
Improve merchant experience and operational performance by identifying key friction points across the merchant journey and developing solutions that strengthen merchant reliability, quality, and long-term success on Uber.
Enable sustainable merchant growth by partnering with Commercial teams to identify and act on opportunities related to merchant performance, footprint expansion, store availability, merchant quality, and other operational levers.
Build scalable tools, processes, and playbooks that help Account Managers and merchants operate more effectively and consistently across the market.
Serve as the local operational partner for merchant-facing products, collaborating with Product and Global Merchant Operations to identify Mexico-specific needs, develop business cases, assess local implications, test solutions, and support successful launches and adoption.
Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution, aligning stakeholders across Local Operations, Commercial, Product, Global Merchant Operations, Catalog, Finance, and other teams around clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
Use data to identify opportunities and improve decision-making by monitoring key merchant and business metrics, developing analytical resources and dashboards, and establishing mechanisms that help teams identify opportunities and address issues earlier.
Improve and scale how we operate by identifying opportunities to automate manual work, simplify processes, and expand successful solutions across merchants, categories, and the broader market.
Drive operational readiness for seasonal and peak-demand events by developing plans, coordinating cross-functional execution, and helping merchants deliver a reliable customer experience at scale.
