About the role and team
Advertising Sales at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don’t come with a script. In this role, you will be a key member of our Uber Advertising division. You will bridge the digital and real worlds, building partnerships that allow brands to show up for millions of people across our global markets.
This isn't a traditional sales role—it’s about building a business from the ground up while moving at the "speed of now." You’ll need to be resilient and resourceful, managing the messy reality of new product launches and shifting market dynamics. We are looking for someone who thinks like an owner, stays calm under the pressure of monthly targets, and is energized by the challenge of defining what "excellence" looks like.
What you’ll do
- Identify and develop high-impact account opportunities at agencies and clients to drive brand-new revenue streams within your assigned territory.
- Navigate the complexity of the RFP process, turning technical advertising needs into custom sales presentations that capture the unique value of the Uber platform.
- Lead the charge on ads product adoption, acting as the voice of the customer to help our product teams solve real-world problems for advertisers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Mobility and Delivery sales teams to unblock opportunities and create a unified story for our partners.
- Manage a disciplined pipeline with urgency, balancing long-term trust-building with the immediate need to meet monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Wear multiple hats to build the business, stepping in to support teammates and help the team scale during high-pressure growth phases.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years of full-time experience in Out-of-Home (OOH) Media Sales.
- Experience managing a multi-million dollar advertising pipeline and achieving quarterly revenue targets.
- Proficiency in the OOH media market, including deep knowledge of agency structures and key stakeholders.
- Experience with end-to-end sales lifecycles, from initial prospecting through to contract negotiation and closing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ad vertising sales experience with established relationships in major media agencies.
- Proven ability to use data and retail media metrics to quantify opportunities and influence executive-level decision-makers.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to build annualized sales plans in highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional storytelling skills and the ability to maintain resilience through long or difficult negotiation cycles.
