Solution Architect - Operations & Manufacturing Focus
Viaduct
About Viaduct
At Viaduct, we use patented AI to discover hidden patterns in complex time series data – so manufacturers and operators of connected equipment can deliver transformative business results from their data, fast. On our platform we deliver solutions across the equipment lifecycle, from manufacturing productivity, manufacturing quality, service operations and fleet management.
The Role
Viaduct is seeking a Solution Architect with a maniacal focus on technical execution and product delivery within our Operations and Manufacturing sectors. In this role, you will function as the "Product Owner" for our manufacturing initiatives, responsible for bridging the gap between high-level business goals and ground-level engineering execution.
We are looking for a practitioner who thrives on the "how" of implementation—someone who can translate a vague business pain point into a structured engineering proposal and see it through to on-time completion. You will directly oversee the deployment of our product—ensuring it solves critical manufacturing challenges with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Product Ownership: Act as the owner of the product roadmap and ensure the "why" behind every feature is clearly translated into technical requirements.
- Engineering Proficiency: Masterfully structure engineering proposals, write high-quality technical tickets, and define clear acceptance criteria for developers and data scientists.
- Sprint & Scrum Management: Lead daily progress meetings, run scrums, and manage sprints with precision to ensure engineering teams remain focused and bottlenecks are cleared immediately.
- Implementation of AI Agents: Directly oversee the integration of our products, ensuring they are implemented to automate complex tasks and improve manufacturing knowledge retrieval.
Position Details:
- Compensation: Competitive base salary, short-term incentive (annual bonus) and long-term incentive (long-term upside)
- Travel: 0-50% (with significant international travel component)
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Work site: Up to 100% work from home
- Team: Internal Efficiencies
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is required. You must be able to navigate deep technical architectures and speak the language of our core developers.
- Technical Execution: Proven track record in product delivery and technical implementation. You must be an expert in modern software delivery methodologies.
- AI Proficiency: Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, LLMs, agentic frameworks, large-scale data systems, etc.
- Operational Drive: Experience or strong interest in manufacturing, industrial operations, or quality control environments.
- Multitasking Excellence: Exceptional ability to handle multiple complex initiatives at the same time without compromising on technical quality or deadlines.
- Consulting Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in a technical consulting or professional services capacity is a plus, particularly in driving projects to completion for external or internal stakeholders.
