The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory submission preparation and lifecycle management by imbuing most aspects of the workflow with AI, including data organization, drafting, review, and verification. Weave is building the foundation for a singular AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle.
The Role & Your Mission
We're looking for a Frontend Engineering Team Lead that can manage and lead our frontend engineering team. We expect you to lead the people, maintain a healthy working environment, plan long-term architecture initiatives, keep a high-bar of excellence on the team, and grow the team. The buck stops with you on decisions regarding frontend architecture and personnel. You will be responsible for driving architectural direction and roadmap execution, as well as supporting the technical and personal development of the other engineers on the team. This position reports directly to the CTO.
Managers at Weave are expected to maintain hands-on capacity. Whether this is through bug fixes, pull request reviews, or healthy debate of technical decisions. We believe that managers must stay technical while staying out of the way of their engineers. Effective decision making requires technical know-how and trust from other engineers. You are the engineer that other engineers can count on; you are technical, you attack every problem with enthusiasm, and you remove hurdles.
What You'll Own
Has worked at an early-stage, product-based startup before (Production experience with React and Typescript on performant, multiplayer applications Able to move quickly on tasks while producing high-quality results Direct and candid with leadership, peers, and direct reports Experience mentoring and growing employees Experience as an architect - proven ability to design and implement robust and scalable systems with flexible and scalable UI that meets future needs Experience overseeing and managing projects across teams Experience working on a product in a regulated domain or where data privacy + security were essential

- Hire and retain extraordinary frontend engineers
- Set the bar for engineering performance and quality standards
- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
- Maintain a healthy, productive working environment for engineers
- Plan and execute on frontend architectural investments in coordination with product and engineering leadership
