Weave
Why Weave Exists
At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development. We do this by equipping human experts with AI instruments to enable drugs to be brought to patients as rapidly, safely, and inexpensively as possible.
The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory workflows from start to finish by intelligently, creatively, and effectively infusing every step with AI. Together with our customers, Weave is designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle.
The Role & Your Mission
We’re looking for a Product Design Consultant to join Weave on a temporary, 4-month engagement to cover a team member on parental leave. In this role, you will operate as a fully embedded designer within our product organization, partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to maintain momentum across active initiatives.
Your mission is to own and execute high-quality product design work end-to-end—from user discovery through polished UI—ensuring continuity of craft, usability, and velocity while helping the team advance a complex, AI-powered product in a regulated domain. This role reports to the Design Manager.
What You’ll Own
- Own product design execution across active initiatives
- Partner closely with Product Managers to translate problem statements and requirements into thoughtful, intuitive solutions
- Collaborate daily with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible, clearly specified, and efficiently implemented
- Conduct lightweight but effective user research to validate assumptions, uncover insights, and inform design decisions
- Map user journeys and workflows across complex regulatory and AI-assisted experiences
- Produce high-fidelity UI designs with a strong bar for visual quality, clarity, and consistency
- Apply and contribute to Weave’s design system to support rapid iteration and cohesive product experiences
- Maintain design quality and continuity across the platform while balancing speed and pragmatism
- Clearly document and communicate design rationale to align cross-functional partners
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally within B2B SaaS environments
- Demonstrated experience designing complex workflows and data-dense interfaces
- Strong UX fundamentals, including user research, journey mapping, and interaction design
- High-fidelity UI design skills with a refined, modern, and product-appropriate aesthetic
- Experience working with or evolving a design system in partnership with engineering
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers in fast-moving product teams
- Familiarity with regulated domains (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, fintech) or environments where accuracy, auditability, and trust are ideal
- Clear, concise communicator who can articulate design decisions and incorporate feedback constructively
- Pragmatic, proactive mindset—you identify what matters most and execute without getting stuck in over-exploration
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from approximately February 15 to June 12, 2026
