Job Description
At Machina Labs, we invest in our people and hiring is a team effort that is critical to our success. We are looking for a talented Sr. Facilities Manager to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean and safe. The Sr. Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees safety and functionality of all facilities. Our ideal candidate will be well versed in facilities management processes and exhibits high multi-tasking and organizational abilities. In our small, yet quickly expanding team, your input will directly impact team composition and direction. You’re passionate and motivated by propelling humanity through building the next generation of manufacturing technologies which reduce waste and enable humans to build things that were not previously possible.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee building and ground maintenance (HVAC, janitorial, repairs, upgrades)
  • Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, robotic cell areas, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Project management experience including developing scope of work for building projects
  • Manage the environment health and safety program (EHS), doing routine safety checks, and ensuring adherence to OSHA safety standards
  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including badge provisioning and collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Manage and review service contracts
  • Ensure the building is up to code at all times
  • Recommend maintenance, mechanical, and facility design modifications
  • Prepare project timelines and budgets
  • Manage and oversee new facility build-out
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in related positions such facilities management, preferably in a tech start-up environment
  • You have a successful track record of supporting office management, security, and building compliance measures
  • The ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities and adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment
  • Team player with a sense of ownership and “get things done” attitude” – self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
