  • 3+ years of experience generating meaningful engineering analysis and documentation for validating designs
  • Ability to simplify complicated engineering challenges into piecemeal tasks, and develop a plan to execute to a schedule
  • Experience using parametric design software to create complex mechanical assemblies (Solidworks, Inventor, Pro/E, etc)
  • Experience performing structural and failure analysis for frames and parts using hand calculations and CAE (RISA, Ansys, CAD FEA, etc)
  • Ability to effectively manage and own projects from inception to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent technical and operational knowledge of mechanical systems within manufacturing environments
  • Ability to analyze and specify automation components (actuators, reducers, etc)
  • Ability to design basic electrical and control systems (industrial controls, electrical schematics, etc)
  • Experience in manufacturing (process development, tooling, component assembly, welding, machining, etc)
  • Ability to create, read and interpret complex assembly and part drawings, bills of materials, assembly procedures, and part drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards (GD&T)
  • Interface effectively with internal and external customers to ensure project success
